Bulls’ Derrick Rose and Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane go down with injuries in a tough night for Chicago

That would be Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, getting cross-checked into the boards by Alex Petrovic on Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers. Kane, who is tied for the NHL points lead and leads Chicago with 27 goals and 37 assists, immediately skated off to the locker room and likely is going to miss a significant amount of time.

And then Chicago got the no-good horrible news that Bulls p0int guard Derrick Rose will once again need surgery on his cursed right knee.

The Chicago Tribune took the news well, alerting readers to the injuries using a headline point size usually reserved for moon landings.
