Good news, everyone: NASCAR driver Travis Kvapil’s Sprint Cup car, which was stolen from a hotel parking lot Friday morning, was found on Saturday, Team Xtreme Racing owner John Cohen confirmed to ESPN.

Cohen credits the Gwinnett County police, who recovered the car northwest of Atlanta, near Loganville, Ga., but also gave a shoutout to an area local named Philip Whitmer who “spotted (the car) and called 911,” according to Motorsport.com.

A woman claiming to know the man who spotted the No. 44 Chevrolet on the side of a road reposted a photograph on Twitter of the car that Whitmer uploaded to social media with the caption, “I found the stolen nascar.” Kvapil, who alerted the public of the stolen car via Twitter on Friday, immediately retweeted it.

Team Xtreme is relieved to have the car back.

“You can’t buy that back or time put into it,” Cohen told ESPN.

Cohen personally went to the scene early Saturday morning to witness the good news, where he posed for a snapshot the team later posted to Twitter.

Sadly, the car was not recovered in time for Kvapil and Team Xtreme to re-enter Sunday’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but it was found in time to salvage an entry in next weekend’s race in Las Vegas.

Police are still looking for the trailer, as well as other items that were in it, including a spare engine worth approximately $100,000, as well as various other racing equipment valued at around $17,500, ESPN reports.
