Reliever Francisco Rodriguez, who ranks 10th on Major League Baseball’s all-time saves list, will return to the Milwaukee Brewers after reaching a contract agreement with the team.
Rodriguez, 33, had something of a career renaissance last season in Milwaukee with 44 saves, the most for him since he notched a major league-record 62 with the Los Angeles Angels in 2008. He became a free agent after the season and reportedly also was courted by the Blue Jays and Dodgers. Rodriguez has spent most of the past four seasons with the Brewers.
