During Tuesday’s Kentucky-Tennessee game, the Wildcats’ Devin Booker flew to the hoop for a layup, only to get hit from behind by a defender. That sent Booker crashing to the floor, and right into the back of a Tennessee cheerleader’s knees.
The cheerleader, Kristen Huskey, was bent backwards by the impact and fell down in awkward, painful-looking fashion. Football fans have seen countless players suffer torn ACLs or other serious knee injuries on plays like this:
Happily, it turns out that Huskey is okay. We know she’s okay because she tweeted that out in response to an expression of concern by Booker. Here is that post-game exchange:
The incident wasn’t really Booker’s “bad,” but it made sense for him to reach out and sound contrite because, you know, cheerleaders. Actually, Booker was very good for the top-ranked Wildcats on Tuesday, leading them with 18 points in a 66-48 win.
This former editor and part-time writer at The Post is now happy to prove that if you combine 'blowhard' and 'blaggard,' you get 'blogger.'
