Workouts for the NFL Scouting Combine begin on February 20, but it looks like Roger Goodell couldn't wait any longer.
The NFL commissioner ran the 40-yard dash as part of NFL Network broadcaster Rich Eisen's "Run Rich Run" campaign. Fans are encouraged to join in on the fun by posting videos of their own 40 times and also to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

He clocked in at 5.53 seconds.
He'll need to improve his time if he intends on being drafted.
