Jon Stewart: comedian, political commentator, pro wrestler? It could happen. Stewart, a well known fan of WWE, didn’t back down to superstar Seth Rollins after ex-Shield member dissed “The Daily Show” on Monday night’s “Raw.”

“I am the most talented performer in the entire world,” Rollins, a turncoat heel, boasted in front of the Orlando audience. “I can do whatever I want, whenever I want and there’s nobody or nothing that can stop me. Hell, if I wanted, I could become president. I’m not even old enough to run for office. Or you know, I could take over as host of “The Daily Show” for Jon Stewart and make that thing actually watchable.”

The “Raw” audience’s reaction was a mix of boos and confusion, probably because it’s unclear how many crossover fans there are between the two programs, but one man didn’t take the insult lying down and that was current host Jon Stewart. He cut his own promo on Thursday, letting Rollins know this feud was on.

“This is the biggest mistake you ever made. By coming after ‘The Daily Show,’ you just stepped into a world of hurt, my friend,” Stewart growled into his smartphone’s camera. “I’m coming for you Rollins and you’re gonna see it — 160 pounds of dynamite.”

Stewart then shrugged before characteristically throwing in some self-deprecating humor.

“My bone density is not, uh, what it used to be. You know, 160 pounds of wood, like a soft wood, like a pine… like a balsa. Still, splinters, you know? That’s gonna hurt!”

But it’s not going to intimidate. Rollins continued the hilarious feud late last night with his own video response, courtesy of TMZ.

Rollins plugged WWE’s Sunday’s “Fastlane” pay-per-view program and said, “You know where to find me.”

How about the winner gets Stephen Colbert at Wrestlemania?
