Jadeveon Clowney just can’t catch a break. After spending most of his first NFL season warming the bench because of various injuries, the Houston Texans’ could-be star outside linebacker is spending his offseason recovering from microfracture surgery on his right knee. And now also apparently a dog bite, courtesy of his teammate D.J. Swearinger’s pit bull. Per CBS in Houston:
The dog, meanwhile, is under home quarantine, as is standard in Pearland when a pet bites a human.
“Animal control handled it as a standard call,” Lieutenant Patrick Savage told CBS, which noted the police were called by ER officials as is required by law when any animal bite is reported. “Standard procedures were followed by our humane department and the animal control officer who went out there.”
Neither Clowney, Swearinger nor the Texans have commented on the matter.
