Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Neymar connect for great goal against Villareal

Barcelona has no shortage of star power between its two top strikers Lionel Messi and Neymar. And while each is fantastic on his own, when the two combine, magic inevitably happens. Take, for instance, a goal the duo delivered against Villareal during their Copa del Rey semifinal match on Wednesday.

There are so many things that should not have happened to make that goal a possibility. But with Messi’s incredible left foot and that lofted tap in by Neymar, really all Villareal could do was watch in awe like the rest of us. This kind of talent does not come around often.

Barcelona won 3-1 thanks to that goal, as well as two followups strikes — one by Luis Suarez in the 73rd minute and another by Neymar in the 88th.

This all means Barcelona is moving on to the Cop de Rey final for the fifth time in the last seven seasons.
