The world’s No. 1 golfer isn’t immune to bad days on the links. We know this because he threw his golf club in a water hazard after having a less than stellar day at the WGC-Cadillac Championship on Friday.
The throw came after he hit his ball in the water on the second shot of the par-5 eighth hole at Trump National Doral’s Blue course.
McIlroy’s game wasn’t over, though. He trudged on, per ESPN:
Now, as if ending the day 11 strokes behind first-round leader J.B. Holmes, McIlroy will also likely be fined.
